BACKGROUND
This site is a little OLD SCHOOL...BABY!!!
I haven't quite felt like redesigning it....
OK...just the facts:

I have played over 1800 live shows and recorded in 18 different studios, and also in a studio apartment, and I used to live in Studio City, CA. wow!!!
I have worked with producers Dennis MacKay, Steve Albini and even Maximilian Schell, as well as a bunch I can't remember.
I've been known to get up at the crack of noon and work into the wee hours of the late afternoon.
I've been kicked out of the finest hotels and bars in the world.
I like all types of music but especially power pop and pop punk and throw in some emo.
I have a home studio where I do alot of recording.
I am writing alot of songs for television and movies.
I start most of my sentences with "I".
I play the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and sing....not necessarily in that order!
I have written and recorded alot of songs...I have a few posted on the sound page.
And, I can run really fast and lift a hundred pounds right over my head without even trying...WOW just like George Costanza!!!

July 7th, 2008
I just uploaded a new song to my MySpace page, it's called Candy Girl.

May 20th, 2008
Welcome to Costa Rica!

to writing some more songs with singing on them!

March 26th, 2008
I gotta get some new pictures and videos up on this site!

March 13th, 2008
I just finished another new song called "Looks Like Love". Hopefully I can get about 8 more songs
written and recorded this year for the next CD.

February 20th, 2008
I just finished a new song called "I'm Gonna Miss You". You can listen to it on MySpace or NumberOneMusic.

January 11th, 2008
My last CD is sold out on CDbaby.com. They will have the new remastered one for sale on about February 5th.
I am also writing a bunch of new songs for my next CD as well as a whole bunch of television stuff.

November 5th, 2007
I just got back from Canada and New York. Since our plane was about 3 hours late at O'Hare,
I had a long talk with our pilot, about learning to fly. He gave me his business card and said he would
be my first passenger when I get my pilots license.
I also have remixed alot of songs and will be sending them to Lurssen Mastering to be mastered. I also included
5 or 6 instrumentals to be mastered because of the demand from television shows for instrumentals.

October 3 , 2007
I am currently remixing my last CD. I also redid a few of the vocal, guitar and drum parts.
Then it's going to be re-mastered and sent to the duplication plant. If you purchased the original CD,
you have a collectors item....probably worth millions on Ebay!
The new one will only be $9.99!

August 1 , 2007
I'm working on lots of songs for my next CD...and the fall TV season.

July 19, 2007
You can purchase a copy of the new CD "The Tim Tully Show" from .
The full CD as well as individual tracks are also available for download on . and

July 13, 2007
Of course I had to put a copy of "The Way You Look up on to get some reviews!

June 14, 2007
My new CD is finished and I should have it for sale around June 21st. You can download tracks for .79 each from
my MySpace Page or also on the Sound page.
The full CD will also be available around June 27th at CDBaby and a few other places....

May 9, 2007
Hey mon...just got back from Barbados. I forgot how to drive in the USA...stay to the right!!!
How many times am I gonna turn my window wipers on to turn, instead of the turn signal...everything is on the wrong side!

April 18, 2007
I put a sample of the 1st song off the new CD up on PureVolume and MySpace.
It's called "The Way You Look".

March 27, 2007
I am finally done mixing the new CD....it is being mastered by Gavin at Lurssen Mastering.
He should have it finished in a few weeks. It should be available for your listening pleasure around the 2nd week
of May, after I get back from Barbados.

March 7, 2007
Well, I finally think I have got my Marshall amp problems fixed, thanks to Bob and Jay at Eurotubes. They needed to
have alot of the solder joints redone, new tubes and new speakers. But of course, now my main mixing board is screwed up...
so I am waiting for a wiring harness replacement from Digidesign.
Here is a picture of me fixing some of my equipment.
In the mean time.... I have my eye on some cool custom made drums.....

February 15, 2007
I am just putting the finishing touches (whatever that means) on a new acoustic ballad called "So Long". It will definitely
be on the CD. It's so pretty, I am almost crying as I type this....almost !!!
Also, I finally got fed up with the sound I've been getting from my stupid Marshall amps.
I just got new tubes and speakers for all of them. They all had this high end "ice pick in my ears"
sound that was not good ! So, I should be able to start recording again in a few days, (as soon as I
get the tubes re-biased......that's technical talk). I will also have to re-record some guitar parts in a few songs
because I never noticed the hi frequency distortion.(because I'm deaf in one ear and can't hear out of the other!)

December 29, 2006
I hope Santa got you what you wanted for Christmas!
Anyway l had yet another Marshall amp quit working 2 days ago!  I may never get all these new songs finished!!!
See ya next year.

November 10, 2006
Well...I destroyed another Marshall amp last night..... snap...crackle...pop...ka-twang...ka-twang...fizzle...fizzle...fffftt!
I think I smelled something burning too! But I got 1/2 of a great new song out of it!
And for you guitar geeks out there...I just put a new Seymour Duncan SH-4 Humbucker pickup into one of my Stratocasters.
I had to use a hammer to make it fit !!! What am I? Joe electrician?

October 25, 2006
I added some reviews from the A&R company "TAXI" on the review page.

October 21, 2006
Hey ...I have about 5 more songs just about finished. They will not be available on Purevolume or GarageBand,
but they will probably be on the CD....I'm not sure yet cause I'm still working on lots of new stuff. I also just got another big
bass drum. This one is 28"....It's so big you can park a car in it...not an SUV...that would just be stupid!

October 17, 2006
I got everything cleaned up and almost everything still works. Even the computer that was half under water for 2 days works,
except for the firewire cards. The pickups on the guitars that were underwater don't work but most things are fine.
Even the guitar amps and microphones that were underwater work. I just hosed everything down and waited about
a week to plug stuff in.

September 20 , 2006
There was a giant flood in my studio last night !
My main Protools PC is under water as well as 2 Marshall amps a Mesa Boogie amp a Fender strat, a Fender bass and a Les Paul guitar.
Luckily I have a back up of all of my songs on an external hard drive
I also had half of a Gretcsh drum set under water as well as all my effects pedals and some microphones.
I just took all the pedals and cables and ran them under the hose to clear the crappy water out!
Now I have to wait for everything to dry out and see what still works !!! I will have to tear all the carpet and the acoustic tiles
out cause they're a mess !!! There may be a slight delay in the release of my CD...to say the least !
Ladies and gentlemen....this is one of the worst disasters in history... OH THE HUMANITY!!!

September 7, 2006
I put some more songs up GarageBand to get some reviews. If you want to check out the reviews,
go to GarageBand and click on a the title of song on the right side of the page and you'll find the links to the reviews near the bottom.
This is a tough crowd to please...since about 90% of the reviews are from other musicians !!!
Also, I'm still working on more songs!

September 5 , 2006
The Indie Music Project and have chosen to add some of my songs to their
Artist Library from well over 1000 bands they listened to in the last few months. I hope to be featured there soon.

August 22, 2006
I just noticed the Links page didn't work from some of the other pages. Well, they all work now!

July 29, 2006
Yea....it's the middle of summer, it's 1000 degrees outside and I'm still down in the basement
recording more songs. I had a little problem last week when I blew up 2 guitar amps....I wasn't playing them loud...
I just blew them up....they're in the shop getting fixed.
I am trying to get the CD done by the end of this year so I can sell 10 million copies and get my
Lear jet back from the pawn shop.

May 14, 2006
I just got back from Florida (watch out for those alligators!)...and also finished another new song called "Heartbreaker".
And of course I had to have a page at MySpace.com.... IT'S THE LAW !!! TimTully was taken
so I had to use www.myspace.com/timmytully.

April 7, 2006
I just finished recording another new song. It's called "Without You".
I put a short clip on the Sound page as well as on Purevolume. I hope you like it ....cause I do !
I really like the part just after the clip ends... the part going into the guitar solo is my favorite....
But you'll just have to wait to hear that !!!
You'll be able to to get the whole song in a few months....at a store near you. Or at least on the Internet.

March 30, 2006
I put 2 more songs up on Purevolume.
One is called "I'm Not Sorry" and the other is "I Will Be There"....could I hit that snare drum any harder?

March 15, 2006
Gavin did a great job of mastering "Can You Tell Me" and "So Far Away".
I am working on getting the rest of the songs recorded for the CD. That should take a few more months.

February 27, 2006
I just finished a new song called "When I Dream About You".
I put a copy up on Purevolume if you want to check it out.
I also am waiting for several songs that are being re-mastered at The Mastering Lab.

February 7, 2006

I am close to breaking into the top 10 in Power Pop and Pop Punk.

January 11, 2006
I just redid the vocals on a new song called "Where Ever You Go". It's on the sound page.

December 23, 2005
Merry Christmas... Closed for the holidays !

December 5, 2005
I had a great time playing in Catsplash for a taping of the Flabby Hoffman show
in Chicago...but I have no idea when it's on !!!
I also just finished a new song called "Can You Tell Me"... It's in the sound section.

November 7,  2005
Just got back from playing some shows in Cincinnati and Indianapolis.

September 18,  2005
I added some of my songs to Garageband.com to get some reviews (mostly from other musicians) on the
songs I've been recording. Click on each of the GarageBand logos below to read the reviews of
"So Far Away", "Happy", "Guess I Already Know " and "I'm Not Sorry".You can see all the reviews from around
the world....the good the bad and the ugly, no censorship..... I must be insane!   The last logo takes you to
my band page at GarageBand.com.

August 28,  2005
I just got back from Seattle, Portland and Vancouver British Columbia... so it was time to
get back in the studio... 27 hours later.... here's a finished song called "I'm Not Sorry".
I just uploaded it to the sound page. I originally was going to have a guitar solo in the middle of the song,
but the song just didn't want to go that way so I went with an 8 bar drum fill solo kind of thing instead!
I tried about 100 different ideas before the I was satisfied with the one in the finished song!
I also used a new Les Paul on this song, I think I like it better than the Fender Stratocasters.
I also can't begin to tell you how many times I recorded the vocals for the ending choruses.
It seems so easy once it is all recorded and I listen back to it....but putting it all together
out of thin air still seems kind of like magic to me! The songs just kind of go where they want to go...
If I don't play them the way they want to go .... I don't feel right until I work it out.
I usually discover the way the song wants to go after I have recorded all the parts and think the song
is finished....then all of a sudden...some little change comes into my head and I have to go back and
change everything to make it feel the right way.... Have I rambled on long enough?

July 21,  2005
I added a new songs to the sound page.
It's called "I Will be There For You" . I just couldn't get it out of my stupid head...so it was time to start recording...
I also remixed "So Far Away" and "Happy" because compared to the new song they needed more punch ...
so I cranked it up a few notches. Now the rest of them need to be louder... yea louder, louder....VOLUME RULES !!!

June 5,  2005
There are 3 new clips from the recent CatSplash show at The Abbey in Chicago
on the video page. For some odd reason, the room was tilted at a 45 degree angle,
but we played anyway. No one fell off the stage and got hurt, but the stand for the video camera
suffered a broken leg and may not recover.
I'll keep you updated....same Bat time....same Bat channel!

May 21,  2005
I just added a clip from a new song called "I'll Do Anything".
I will also be adding some new video clips from a benefit that CatSplash played at a few days ago.
And some video from our upcoming show at The Abbey in Chicago.

May 1,  2005
I just added a new song called "Guess I Already Know".

April 23,  2005
I just finished re-recording the guitar parts on "Let Go". I used a Marshall amp on the new version.

April 18, 2005
I just finished re-mixing "Let Go". The new version is up here now.
I also am working on a whole bunch of new songs... so many that don't know what to work on next !!!
Also, CatSplash played last night at the International Pop Overthrow... there was pop being thrown
over everything, I'm still sticky.

April 12,  2005
I just finished recording a song called "Let Go" ... it should be up here tonight.
This song is a little different than what I usually write....but I couldn't get the stupid thing
out of my head.

March 26, 2005
I just finished uploading "Happy" and "Thinking About You" to the sound section.
My ears were blasted out from recording so they needed to be remixed.
I will be remixing "Walk Away" in a few days because it has way too much treble,
or as we say in the music business, "turn that S*#$ down it's hurting my F&*$%#@ ears!
I also have a few more songs that are almost finished that I will be adding soon.

March 16,  2005
I was up all night remixing the bass and vocals on "Happy" and "Thinking About You".
I just uploaded them to this site. Then I practiced for 2 hours on my best rock star poses.
Then I had a veggie burger, 2 bananas, 5 spoons of peanut butter and some chocolate soy milk.
Just in time for St. Patricks Day !!!   Did I hear someone say Bass Ale?
Oh the humanity!

March 5,  2005
I just finished a new song called "Happy" and put in the sound section.

February 27, 2005
I changed all the videos in the video section. The new ones are from a few nights
ago with CatSplash. I also added a new song called "I Can't stop thinking About You" to
the sound section.

February 2,  2005
I didn't do anything today.

January 4,  2005
I was looking at the pictures on the CatSplash web site....I look like some kind
of x-con ftrom Alcatraz!
They say, "He's so mean he once shot a guy just for snoring!"
Hopefully we'll be getting some new pictures, or else maybe they'll just send
me to prison, and be done with it.

November 28,  2004
I just got back from our New Orleans alligator wrestling swamp tour.
I wrote and recorded another new song and put it in the Sound section. It's called "So Far Away".
Under the influence of 10 Hurricanes from Pat O' Briens on Bourbon Street, 3 bottles of
Lousiana hot sauce and my favorite Zydeco song, "Big Mamou" playing in the background,
it was time to start recording.
Whoooo Weeee..... I guarrrontee !

October 18,  2004
I have been using the big Ludwig bass drum for live shows.
It sounds great with a mic in it! But without one it sounds like S#&*!
I also added some new videos from a show we did at The Abbey in Chicago.
We re-recorded all the drum parts for the Catsplash CD because some of the
drum sounds were not right and we couldn't fix it in the mix. It should be finished in February ???

October 10,  2004
I am thinking of getting a bigger bass drum from GMS...maybe 18x26.
I have a big Ludwig bass drum...but it doesnt have nearly the low end or
power of a GMS bass drum.

May 27,  2004
Well, John's back is much better now (but now something is wrong with his front !) and CatSplash
is playing again. For a list of upcoming shows, go to the CatSplash website.

March 2,  2004
Johnny from CatSplash hurt his back, at RadioShack ... so we will not be playing
for a few months!
